Putting a Lid on Simply Shoe Boxes ~ For The Time Being

Keeping up with Simply Shoe Boxes blog takes much thought, time and energy...I'm wondering if I could spend those better on crafting for shoe boxes.  I also have an opportunity to help my daughter take over the yearly Operation Christmas Child collection and packing party at our church as well as promoting crafting for shoe boxes locally.  Needless to say, even without keeping up with the blog, my cup overflows with shoe boxing opportunities.

So for the time being, I am putting a lid on Simply Shoe Boxes.  It will remain public and all of the articles will be accessible to hopefully continue helping others pack shoe boxes for kids in crisis.

Thank you all for riding along with me these past months....and happy packing to all!

Cheryl,
I did not post here but enjoyed checking in from time to time. I know that God will guide your hands to where they will make the greatest impact. On behalf of the children, thanks for all you do.

Thanks, Susan. I have really been praying about what I should do. There are so many opportunities for good and I can't do them all...tho I have been known to try :-). A wise woman recently told me "just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should." I am trying to make that my new saying...instead of it needs done I need to do it!

I want to thank you so much for all that you have done on this blog. I confess. that I am disappointed, as I check your blog daily for ideas and inspiration. I am very glad that it will still be available :) I have recently joined my local team as Admin support and have just started my stash for next years boxes, using the great shopping tips from you and Clip with Purpose. I am also a crafter and have already used some of your ideas. I pray the Lord blesses you abundantly with fresh new inspiration and energy for the tasks he lays on your heart. Bless you! Tammy

Thank you, Tammy, for your kind comment. And congrats on your new Admin support roll! I love to hear that you have been able to use some of what I have posted...especially the crafts, I love to think of the craft posts helping others find fun things to craft for shoe box kids. Happy Packing!

I am kinda in the same boat.... been posting a bit less on my blog (klamathocc.blogspot.com) as I step up in leadership in the area... we are going to have our first area packing party.. and I going to be very busy with this effort. I do not want to stop with the blog but balancing time is a real need. I know that God will bless your work! I do hope you post some updates over time.

Oh, I bet you are excited to be putting together an area wide packing party! I know our spur of the moment packing party for 125 boxes was a lot of work--but so fun to organize! And so fun to see everyone enjoying packing the boxes. I, too, hope you post updates once in a while--especially about your packing party progress.
