Ten Days Unplugged

I tend to follow the mantra "If it's worth doing it's worth overdoing" in EVERYTHING in my life.  Unfortunately this can ware a body down and I see myself beginning to spiral in the wrong direction physically.  I need a vacation -- have needed one for years -- but since I can't take off for a spa, beach or mountain retreat I am going to try to find a way to cut back on my responsibilities and stress inducing activities for ten days.  I was aiming for seven -- next week -- but I think I had better begin tomorrow.

The first thing I have decided to vacate is my online time.  I will be unplugging until February 16.  I have three posts nearly ready to share with you all, but they can wait.  I am sure I will have much more to share when I return. Meanwhile, I will only get online twice a day to check my emails, or I may let my daughter check it for me as she has offered.  She knows how hard it is for me not to "just check the Simply Shoe Boxes Facebook page for comments real quick." Or to see what's up on the OCC page or Clip with Purpose or Crafting For Shoeboxes.

If any one wants to contact me during this time you can use the email found in the "contact" link at the bottom of this page.  Otherwise, I will be back February 16 once again sharing the journey of my passion for packing shoe boxes for kids in need.

Now I'm off to pick out a great book to read during my usual online time.

Happy Packing!

Don't worry, we'll "hold the fort" while you're resting. Pastor says you should come apart(from your work) before you come apart.

Good for you! I just completed a five week Bible study called "Breathe" by Priscilla Shirer. Life is better when you have room to breathe!
