Here's an Operation Christmas Child shoebox my dad packed for a 10-14 boy this year. This shoebox was 394 inches cubed, for comparison, a GO box is 306 inches cubed, so it's pretty close in size. Here's one of the 10-14 boy shoeboxes he packed in 2015.
If you'd like ideas for other ages be sure to check out my posts on boxes from this year for: Girl 2-4 , Boy 2-4, Girl 5-9, Boy 5-9, & Girl 10-14.

When I read down through the contents of the box it seemed impossible to get all that into a shoebox! Then seeing pictures of the layers showing how it was done gave me some ideas for my own packing. What instructions are needed for fishing kits? I've made fishing kits but have no idea what instructions to include (not being a fishing person).
Glad to hear it helped you get ideas on fitting things in!
I've only fished a couple times myself, but here's the link to the two things I printed off the internet to include:
http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/fish_marine_pdf/fishingbasics.pdf

...I think I'll edit the post to include the links.
Thanks, Sarah, for the fishing links. I'm going to print them out to include with my shoebox fishing supplies!
