Dollar Tree Easter Duck/Chick Themed Shoebox

I recently got the chance to shop at Dollar Tree for items to fill an Operation Christmas Child shoebox as I was compensated for this post. This post also contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.  But, my opinions are my own.

When I went to look at Easter Crafts, Supplies, and More At Dollar Tree I found lots of cute and fun things to make a themed shoebox.  When I was little I really liked ducks, so I decided to do a theme box of ducks/chicks/Easter.  When I make a themed Operation Christmas Child shoebox, I don't leave
out anything on our basic packing list-just try to find versions of what we are putting in that goes with the theme and occasionally an extra item or two.

While this blog is mainly about shoeboxes, but those of us who like to help children with shoeboxes, probably also look for other ways to encourage others.
I thought it'd be really fun to make a small "basket" for a homebound friend or family member, or someone in a nursing home.  I have to say I just really fell in love with this pail!  I think it'd be great as an Easter basket (very reusable).

I have to say-I totally fell in love with these stuffed animals, often $1 stuffed animals are not that nice, but Dollar Tree often seems to have some nice ones, and these-especially the lamb-was SO CUTE!!!  They're also a great size for shoeboxes and seem pretty sturdy and soft!  Click on the photo, if you'd like to order some for your boxes!

Here's what went into the box, everything bought at  Dollar Tree - Everything Is Just $1.  I've included (affiliate) links to the items I could find in the store in case you'd like to buy them online:

Fun Items:
Hygiene Supplies:
School/Art Supplies:
Practical Items:

Now, getting all that to fit in a shoebox was a bit of a pinch, and I had to give up the soap case, but it did end up all fitting.  Thanks, in part, to the tip of putting things inside the water bottle.

Didn't it turn out cute?  That would even make a fun Easter favor/gift for a Sunday School class or something by itself.  If you'd like to see how the whole box was packed/fit (I ended up using a plastic shoebox instead of the cardboard one as it fit better, and had to give up on the soap dish) check out this video I made of "unboxing" the shoebox after showing some of what went into the box and a couple crafts!

I was compensated for this video and post, but my opinions are my own. There are also affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.
