OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ A Month worth of Donations and Deals ~ 5/18/2019
For those who don't follow my YouTube channel, I wanted to share the video here to show what we've gotten of late for shoebox packing!
OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ 4/20/2019 ~ Cars and Balls
We were able to stock up on a couple "shoebox staples". First we found 3 packs of tennis balls at Mighty Dollar-score!! We like to include balls in all of our boxes and tennis balls are sturdy. Also picked up a couple fun little toys. Then Dollar General had their B1G1 free Hotwheels sale, so we got some of those, too!

OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ More Free Deals ~ 3/16/2019
I decided to just make a video of this week's additions to the shoebox stockpile instead of writing a post as it wasn't too many things, but didn't want to leave my blog readers out, so here it is. If you're on YouTube you might like to subscribe there, as sometimes I'll post things there instead of here.

OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ 3/9/2019 ~ No Money Laid Out
Didn't pick up much for our shoeboxes, but it sure is hard to beat the price...didn't spend anything from our shoebox packing budget.
If you have a CVS card, be sure you have it set up to get emails from them, and check EVERY email you get from them. Of late, I've been getting ECBs to print or send to card in them...sometimes more than one a week! So Sunday I sent one for $3 ECB to my card, and when I shopped on Tuesday I was able to get some Valentines items 90% off...these plus a few for a senior ministry-all free!
I also found this little lamb stuffed animal at Dollar Tree that "wanted to come home with me" haha! So I used some of the money we've set aside from online earnings for impulse shoebox purchases.
My mom also crocheted a lot of hats for the DIY Quick to Crochet Child's Beanie Hat Pattern out of yarn we had laying around, so no financial expense.
Spent from shoebox packing budget: $0
Spent from cash or gift cards earned or won online: $1
Saved $19.00 or 100%
Saved thru clearance: $16.20
Saved through email ECB: $1.80

OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ 3/2/2019 ~ Donations plus saved 82% on Deals
Finally getting back to posting my Stockpile Saturdays. And what a busy week to get back at it!! We received donations, birthday gift orders, and got some great deals/clearance finds-check it all out below:
We hit a few Dollar Generals to see what we could find on 90% off clearance-lots of goodies for shoeoboxes, also some fun items to use next year in our ministries to seniors.
Also picked up some Irish Spring on sale plus scanner coupon so worked out to about $0.25 a bar (old photo, didn't see the point of taking another photo packages of soap-LOL).
I found some new wrapping paper and a new coloring book at a thrift store.
We also found some more of the chunky pencils we like to put in 2-4 shoeboxes at Dollar General's 50% off clearance sale.
So that was the items from our shoebox packing budget, here's a couple things....well, more than a couple! ;)
My mother chose to get some stuffed animals for shoeboxes for her birthday, you can see a review of them here and a video unboxing and look at their quality.
We received a donation in the mail from Sew Delightful. So many goodies, the photo just doesn't do it justice, so here's a link to our unboxing video:

CVS was only 75% off, so still pretty high, but I had $4 in ECBs, plus, I had a $10 off $40, and was already buying about $20 for our household. So, I added some items on (some in the picture above, some for senior ministry) and got them like half off 75% off, so like 87% off, plus $4 off for ECBs.

OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ 12/22/2018 ~ Crafting and Washcloths
Got a chance to use a $5 off $15 coupon I'd gotten from Big Lots. I really like their washcloths, they're bright and colorful, and look sturdy. It also works out well in that they are $5 for 9, so I can just run into the store and pick up 3 packs and use the coupons, so 27 for $10 or 37 cents a piece. Not the cheapest price, but good for the quality!!
My sister and mother have been busy sewing pencil and tote bags!

OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ 12/7/2018 ~ Donations and Deals
We got a good amount of supplies for our shoebox packing supplies this week, but didn't spend much due to donations, clearance, and crafting!
Some friends picked us up some cars at Big Lots for us-Hot Wheels and pull back cars.
Got more of the Cow Bells on clearance at US Toy-$3.95 for a dozen here's the link for the orange ones, you can search for the other colors...really happy with them as musical toy!!
My sister had to buy a couple gifts which came to $10, so used my $5 off $15 coupon to pick up washcloths for free. Plus at a party $5 gift exchange she got a scarf she plans to pack in a shoebox.
Finally some great items crafted by my mother and sister: pencil bags, tote bag, and Aunt Ida Hats.
Spent from shoebox packing budget: $41.74
Saved $110.40 or 72% through clearance

OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ Starting on Next Year ~ 12/1/2018
So, it's never too early to get started on next year's shoebox prep! :) So, even while we're cleaning up and cataloging from this year's packing party we've been getting ready for next year's. I stopped by a charity thrift store. Now we can't send used items, but I found two games new in package, 2 unused coloring books, 4 model dinosaurs that don't look used at all, and an educational toy that's packaging is messed up, but insides look new (so I'll just re-package which I often do, anyways).
Stopped by Harbor Freight and used some coupons to pick up some screw drivers to put in the 10-14 boy boxes for next year, we have a few of the sets of screws left that we put together last year that we can put with these.
My mom and sister have been busy crafting for our shoeboxes: pencil bags, tote bag, lovie blankets, and Aunt Ida Hats.
And, finally, here's a video of all the goodies we ordered online on Black Friday/Cyber Monday:

It's packing day, so just a quick post with a few photos of some of the items we've recently gotten to add to these shoeboxes we're packing! First up some Dollar General Clearance.
Then LOTS of great crafts and more from our friends at Chelle's CayBees and family:
Some good deals at Bargin Hunt among other stores

OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ 9/29/2018 ~ A month's worth of supplies 87% off!
Haven't updated the blog in a while with my shoebox finds, so here's what I've found in the last month or so. Was blessed to find some great deals on items we needed before packing!
This was back at Dollar General's 50% off clearance prices...looks like there's going to be "Lego" type bricks in our boxes this year! ...which is great as I really liked Legos as a kid...well, maybe still do! ;)
Still a little short on socks this year, so picked this 3 pack up at a dollar store to check the quality/size.
Found some pens on clearance at Walgreens.
Freds seems to have started their annual clearance sale-only 50% off at the moment, but these socks were a good price-I'm keeping an eye out to see when they mark down to a lower price.
Got these on clearance at Hobby Lobby. I thought they were mustache whistles like lip whistles, but they seem to more spin than make noise, so I'll just add them as a fun bonus.
A couple new coloring books from a thrift store.
I got a scanner coupon for Irish Spring at CVS, plus it was on sale w/ECBs back, so ended up getting it for like a quarter a bar instead of a dollar a bar!
I had been working hard at reviewing Office Depot Products and turning in ink cartridges (some I'd brought home when we changed the ink in the church sound board printer) to earn Office Depot Rewards, but hadn't seen any great deals like past years, so when they had a nice sale, I decided to stock up-managed to have enough rewards to get an order up to the free shipping minimum, plus found a 10% off coupon code online for more savings! I was excited because I figured from what I saved it would work out to be like over $1 worth of items per shoebox we'll pack.
Spent from shoebox packing budget: $37.87

OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ 8/25/2018 ~ A month's worth of shopping
Well, with getting back from vacation I'm a bit behind on sharing my shoeboxes finds! While I was on vacation I was able to pick up some sports team themed items from "back home".
I also found some random items fun little items on a shopping trip. Magnifying glass to check out (didn't like it) truck puzzle for car themed box, couple penguins for a penguin themed box, couple plastic craft kits for older girls, and a little book about rose types-lots of pretty pictures to look at!
At Dollar Tree I saw a car "Lego" type toy at Dollar Tree, and as I liked Legos as a kid and am planning car themed shoeboxes in memory of my uncle this year, I picked up a couple, then I went to CVS & found a car with blocks inside it on clearance-I plan to stick the two building kits inside it, plus probably one of the girl ones I got later at Dollar General.
I received 2 cartons of the new pre-printed cardboard shoeboxes from OCC-hope to post a report on them soon..
I ordered a package of the soap cases-under $20-so much cheaper than other sources.
I had gotten a $10 gift card from Oriental Trading, thankfully they had free shipping on any order, so I found some clearance items (dozen mugs, 2 dozen bags), plus a cup to get up to $10...ended up being on the dot-so didn't spend anything!
I also got to a Dollar General for the 50% off clearance sale...a couple things I found even ended up having been there so long they were only a penny!
Spent from shoebox packing budget: $32.82
Saved $65.98 or 67%
Plus some of the items were donated, and the soap cases not bought in bulk would have been quite a bit more.
Saved thru clearance at Oriental Trading: $22.99
Saved through OT gift card: $10
Saved through OT free shipping: $6.99
Saved through Dollar General Clearance: $26

OCC Shoebox Stockpile Saturday ~ 7/21/2018 ~ Summer Clearance and Such
This week's shoebox shopping got of too a good start when I found some fun stuff at Hobby Lobby for 80% off
Next day I stopped at Dollar Tree to pick up the pencil sharpeners we like to use for our shoeboxes-often they're harder to find closer to shoebox packing time, so got what I needed now-if you can't find them in your store, they are available to purchase online and possibly pick up for free in the store. (affiliate link-I'll be compensated if you purchase after clicking on it)
Also stopped at a Mighty Dollar to get the rest of the balls we needed for our boxes, plus the whistles were buy 1 get 3 free, so got some of those!
Finally, I got a code for penny prints at Walgreens so got 25 (the limit) of those for our shoeboxes. Plus the pencil cases they had on sale for half off-which I plan to use to make Pencil Granny Filler Packs like last year.
Spent from shoebox packing budget: $33.12
Saved $62.95 or 65%
Saved thru clearance Hobby Lobby Clearance: $45.47
Saved through B1G3 deals: $3
Saved through Walgreen's photo discount code: $8
Saved through Walgreen's Sale: $6.50

But, I only share affiliate links for items I think would be good for shoeboxes, and fellow shoebox packers. Most the time it will be things I've personally reviewed or packed.
