My
Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Sewing & Crafting for this week includes a trio of Aprons for 10 to 14 year old girls. I began with the flip flops I had on hand and matched the fabric to them. From there I match them with the bias and quilt binding and then yarn for matching hats. Because I use prepackaged bias and quilt binding these whip up quickly. Thankfully I have a lot on hand inherited from my mother-in-law and also some I was able to pick up for just a quarter at a closeout craft store, otherwise I would be making it from the fabric.

I use narrow bias to bind the edges. I also use a zigzag stitch to make it sturdier because it is so narrow. |

This fabric was too short, so I cut some from the side and added it
to the top going in the opposite direction. I also added a bit of eyelet Kristy had included. |

This one is a gardening apron (it is no different than the others except that the print was gardening) and my daughter found these matching fun bright pink garden gloves on clearance. Now I just need to find some garden tools. |

Each apron has a matching hat. I know they will not wear them together, but it is fun to match up colors in the boxes when possible. |
Do you like to match colors in your boxes? Or do you do theme boxes? You can see other Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes we've packed in these links:

Themed Shoeboxes.

These look so great!!! Impeccable stitching as always!
Thanks, Kristy. I actually cringe every time I take a close up shot of something I have made.
